This course surveys a fine arts curriculum at an introductory college level. It introduces the fundamentals of art composition, art history, and the various techniques adapted to painting, sketching, photography, sculpture, mixed media and architecture. The curriculum also includes the basics of music theory and fundamentals. This in-depth humanities education provides students with the necessary vocabulary for a fine arts historical analysis and encourages the students to understand the significance of a work of art within their original historical, economic, and scientific contexts. This course also prepares students for Academic Decathlon competition.
