Course description

This course surveys a fine arts curriculum at an introductory college level. It introduces the fundamentals of art composition; art history; and†the various techniques adapted to painting; sketching; photography;†sculpture; mixed media and architecture. The curriculum also includes†the basics of music theory and fundamentals. This in-depth humanities†education provides students with the necessary vocabulary for a fine†arts historical analysis and encourages the students to understand the†significance of a work of art within their original historical; economic;†and scientific contexts. This course also prepares students for Academic†Decathlon competition.
