American Literature This course is designed to prepare students to read; understand; write; and present persuasive arguments. Students will read model texts and discuss their views on contemporary issues. Students will also develop their research skills; learn how to write an organized source-based argumentative essay; and learn basic presentation skills. The course will also review writing structures and conventions and grammar and punctuation rules that will help students polish their writing and prepare them for the English section of the ACT exam
