Academy AP European History course is a college-level survey course in modern European history. Students acquire knowledge of the basic events and movements that occurred in Europe during the period of 1450 to the present. These events and themes are uncovered through the study of intellectual and cultural history; political and diplomatic history; and social and economic history. Students will utilize historical documents and strengthen their expression of historical understanding through writing. Academy AP European History offers ambitious students and teachers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the events and ideas that have helped to shape our culture. Mastery is demonstrated by taking the Advanced Placement European History Exam in May.
