Course description

This course is for students who have demonstrated proficiency in Algebra 1; Geometry; and have an interest in STEM related careers. It will address topics identified in the Arizona Mathematics Standards. Students will explore the real number system; complex number system; quadratics; sequences and series; polynomials; functions; rationals; exponents; logarithms; trigonometry; statistics; and probability. This course and Algebra 2 will start out the same first semester. Second semester this course will focus on the skills that support STEM and will prepare students who would like to major in this area. A student proficient in this course will have the skills to be successful in Pre-Calculus or Statistics.†
