Course description

Introduction of principles; methods; and techniques for communicating with deaf people who sign. Development of expressive and receptive sign skills; manual alphabet; numbers; and sign vocabulary. Overview of syntax; grammar; and culture related to American Sign Language (A.S.L.).

Students would be concurrently enrolled with a Maricopa Community College class (ASL 101).

This course is the second of three progressive courses towards mastering ASL competency skills.†

After the completion of this course students would then enroll in ASL 3 (Maricopa Community College Course ASL 110 - Fingerspelling)
