Course Description: 

This course surveys the major organ systems of the human body and the processes that enable us to maintain homeostasis. The structures that comprise each system, their functions, and pathology will be studied in detail through the crosscutting concepts of the Next Generation Science Standards. In addition, the adaptations of parasites and their relationship and effect on human anatomy and homeostasis will be studied. Lab work, including dissection, will be an element of this course.
