Course description

This Advanced Placement course is designed to be the equivalent of a two semester introductory college or university world history course. Students will use inquiry to study the cultural; economic; political; and social developments that have shaped the world from c. 1200 CE to the present. Students will analyze texts; visual sources; and other historical evidence and write essays expressing historical arguments. The course provides relevant themes that students explore throughout the course in order to make connections among historical developments in different times and places.
