Course description

 ● Emphasis on content and application in accordance with topics in Astronomy. ● Emphasis on mastery of underlying concepts that relate to the study of the universe. ● Hands-on investigation and analysis of Astronomy questions by guiding students in active and extended laboratory exercises. ● Emphasis on understanding scientific concepts through the use of technology. ● Evaluation that focuses on scientific processes and attitudes through authentic tasks and attention to varied learning styles and needs.

This course is designed for students who are curious about the mysteries of the universe.  The space program, rocketry, constellations, celestial navigation, life cycle of stars, organization and dynamics of the solar system, galaxies and their interactions, black holes and the warping of time and space. Students who have taken Space Science may not take Astronomy.
