The Automation & Robotics Program is a two-year career and technical education pathway designed to prepare students for careers in
advanced manufacturing, robotics, and industrial automation. Students engage in hands-on learning in electricity, electronics,
mechatronics, robotics, CAD design, fluid power, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), while also developing problem-solving
and troubleshooting skills aligned with Industry 4.0 standards. The program includes dual enrollment opportunities with Estrella
Mountain Community College (EMCC), allowing students to earn transferable college credits in the Automated Industrial Technology
(AIT) program. In Year One (Level 1), students establish a strong foundation in automation and robotics. Coursework includes
OSHA-10 General Industry, NC3 Fundamentals of Industry 4.0, Introduction to Exploring Electricity, Introduction to Exploring
Electronics, Fundamentals of Electricity, Introduction to Mechatronics, Fundamentals of Robotics, and Applied Robotics. Students also
gain design and modeling skills using Autodesk Fusion and SolidWorks. Dual enrollment at EMCC provides exposure to AIT 100:
Industrial Safety and AIT 105: Modern Maintenance Operations. By the end of the first year, students have earned foundational
certifications, OSHA-10 credentialing, proficiency in CAD tools, and 6–8 college credits. Fee Required.
