Truly nonevolutionary in philosophy, spirit, and sequence of study, this one-of-its-kind course begins with the familiar, tangible things of nature and concludes with God’s amazing design at the cellular and chemical level. Abstract concepts are made clear to your teen by the Abeka Academy teacher’s concrete examples, clear explanations, and the 25 labs and 3 field projects. Along with academic knowledge, your teen will gain a greater appreciation for God’s physical creation and, we hope, an increased interest in science! In addition to a foundation in the basics, the course covers the latest advances in man’s understanding of living things—in botany, zoology, microbiology, human anatomy and physiology, cytology, genetics, and ecology. Your teen, along with his video classmates, will also learn step by step how to choose a problem, then plan, experiment, report, and present the findings of a science project. As he becomes acquainted with the students on the video, he will feel as though he is a part of the class. The teacher will even pause to allow “students watching” opportunity to participate.
Course syllabus for year of course not available as course was taken around 2007.
