Gummy Bear Lab (Osmosis)

I did a potato lab instead - never did this one.†

Potato lab

Students did a hands on experiment at home with a piece of potato or other starchy vegetable.† Produced was cubed and placed in water of various types of salinity.† Students provided initial prediction of the physical changes in the produce.† They then waited a set period of time; analyzed the results of the water/produce test and compiled data.† Students then composed a conclusion.†

†Biomolecules Lab

Students test contaminated water for presence of various biomolecules. (very interactive to the point where student can dump beaker water; stir with a stick; over add activation chemical.)†

Lab Report expected with prediction; data collected and conclusion.†

†Photosynthesis lab

Students manipulate amount of light and color of light in a simulation to grow a plant.
