BIOLOGY A & B Grade Level: 10 Course Length: Two semesters Materials: Biology; A Reference Guide Students will focus on the chemistry of living things: the cell, genetics, evolution, the structure and function of living things, and ecology addressing the MN State Standards for biology. The program consists of online lessons including extensive animations, videos, external websites, and laboratory experiments in online simulations. . Biology is required for graduation. Students will take the MCA High School Science Test in the spring. Students will need to block at least 45 minutes a day for learning vocabulary, reading, watching, and experimenting to succeed in this course. Minimum of 1 hour per week (30+ hours a school year) of laboratory experiments is required.
