The Bioscience Internship and Research course is offered at the senior levelfor students who are ready to observe and participate with professionalsworking in the medical, engineering, and other fields related to science,technology and mathematics. This is the capstone course for the BioscienceExperience, and it is required for students to receive a Bioscience HighSchool diploma. Students will explore an extensive list of career choices.The program of study includes: (1) Classroom instruction which emphasizesassignments and projects that include but not be limited to the followingtopics: leadership qualities, work ethic, collaboration, interpersonal skills,personal care, attitude, organization, prioritizing, job-related stress,working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment,multi-tasking, efficiency in the workforce, and communication skills; (2)industry-based work experience in a work environment that closely matchesstudents’ interests and abilities; (3) independent research project on a topicof interest to the student.
