Course description

These courses are offered to freshman based on their performance on the ninth-grade ELA and Mathematics Entrance Placement Exams. Aligned with the Massachusetts Science and Technology Engineering Frameworks; these courses?followed by sophomore Lab Biodiversity ? will broaden student understanding of the chemistry of life; cellular biology; anatomy and physiology; and ecology. Critical thinking skills will be developed through pre- and postactivities; discussions and lab reports. Microscopes and computers will be used to enrich laboratory work and scientific investigation. Students will be expected to work individually as well as collaboratively on projects designed to provide further evidence of standard attainment.
