Course description

This course is for students with extensive experience in dance. Thecourse addresses the dance standards at the distinction level anddemands a high level of effort and commitment while encouragingenjoyment of creative expression. Students will create; perform andanalyze electronic and live performances. History; culture; andtechnology will be examined as they are woven throughout the courseand career opportunities will be explored. Students will be expected toaccomplish in-depth research; analysis; reflection; applications; andproduction/performances. For honors credit; additional performanceopportunities and higher level creative processes are expected.Students must complete and pass semester one in order to participatein semester two; or with the approval of the instructor.
