In this course, you'll learn about the various branches of Earth science. You'll study the scientific method and learn the differences among scientific hypotheses, theories, and laws. In addition, you’ll learn how scientists communicate their findings. You’ll learn about the two types of weathering—physical and chemical—and some of the processes that contribute to each type. You’ll study different types of surface water, such as streams, lakes, and wetlands. You'll learn about the layers of Earth's atmosphere. You'll learn about weather and the world's oceans. Finally, you'll study climate and climate change.

In order to be reviewed as a laboratory science, we will need a list of physical laboratory experiments completed for this course and number of hours students spend doing laboratory assignments each week.
