Earth SciencePre-requisite
BiologyCourse description
This course has a varied curriculum that provides the learner with the opportunity to explore, compare, research, reflect and make real-world connections. The learner will engage in hands-on explorations and virtual simulations, which will enhance traditional lesson formats. This course focuses on three core ideas in Earth Science: Earth’s place in the universe, Earth’s systems and Earth and human activity. Learners examine the processes governing the formation, evolution and workings of the solar system and universe in Core Idea One. Core Idea Two focuses on Earth’s systems, Earth’s materials and plate tectonics. The final Core Idea ties these concepts together by examining how human activities affect Earth processes.
