This semester-long course explores the way that technology interacts with identity. The topic
is timely and the course material does not intersect deeply with other English offerings for juniors and
seniors at this time in the catalog. This course allows for plenty of diverse, modern and historical
perspectives and can include a wide variety of written and multimedia texts, including novels, short
stories, articles, opinion pieces, and films/TV. Through discussion, creative projects, and analytical
writing, students will interrogate how technology impacts what it means to be human.
