Course description

This course is for 12th grade students and continues to develop reading, writing, and language skills, as well as speaking and listening experiences. The course is designed to blend reading text and composition into a cohesive whole. Emphasis is placed on analytical and evaluative composition skills in combination with reading diverse critical texts. Students will continue to develop vocabulary and language skills as they write compositions in multiple forms and patterns. Course may be taken only upon teacher approval. Course content mirrors that of standard English 12 course and instruction will be differentiated to meet the specialized needs of the students.
