Course description

Film Video Arts 2 is an intermediate film-making class that expands the skills learned in the first level course. This project based studio class will explore a wide variety of filmmaking styles; including surrealism; documentaries; and dramatic short films. Students will work collaboratively and individually on projects that are designed to guide students through understanding advanced film-making techniques. The course focuses on visual and aesthetic composition; color theory in filmmaking; camera composition; advanced editing techniques and special effects. The editing software covered in this course includes Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
