Course description

This course covers the topics of biochemistry; macromolecules; cell metabolism; bonding; the structure of atoms; the periodic table; stoichiometry; and chemical reactions.† It prepares students for future enrollment in Advanced Placement courses in AP Chemistry and AP Biology.† Students enrolled in this course take one semester of Biology and one semester of Chemistry. Each semester covers the full year of Biology and Chemistry. Enrollment in this course constitutes a commitment to continue on an AP track.
