This course covers basic Physical Science including properties of substances, sound, light, and waves, systems, energy, structure of matter, physical and chemical changes, nature of forces, forces to explain motion; and conducting scientific investigations. Special attention is paid to the skills assessed by the sophomore HSPE. This class includes a lab component to provide hands-on experience with phenomena studied in class.
