This course offers instruction in medical language and
in body systems and how they function. It would be
impossible to memorize all the medical words used in
health care professions, but by breaking down the
words into parts, the student learns to decode them
into their individual meanings. Students apply their
knowledge of medical terms to understanding the
structures and functions of the body systems and
learning about diseases that affect them. This course
may satisfy as a science credit for graduation, but does
not meet university entrance requirements or NCAA
requirements.
