Course description

This is the second year of a 2-year sequence. This course is intended for students with a strong mathematical background who wish to pursue studies at the university in subjects that have a large mathematical content such as math; engineering or physical sciences. It is for students who enjoy developing mathematical arguments; problem solving and exploring real and abstract applications. Coursework will include functions; trigonometry; vectors; complex numbers; statistics and calculus. IB requires an internal assessment of a mathematical investigation and two written examinations to complete the course work. This course is part of the IB Diploma Programme. NOTE: This is a weighted course.
