Course description

In Texas; all science courses required 40% lab investigations. Within Integrated Physics and Chemistry; students spend this amount of time through investigations. Because we are a virtual campus; students complete their labs using Gizmos. Integrated Physics and Chemistry Students explore the relationship between matter and energy by investigating force and motion; the structure of atoms; the structure and properties of matter; chemical reactions; and the interactions of energy and matter. Students develop skills in measuring; solving problems; using laboratory apparatuses; following safety procedures; and adhering to experimental procedures. Students focus on inquiry-based learning; with hands-on laboratory investigations making up half of the learning experience. K12 lab kits contain all lab materials that cannot easily be found in the home. Course Length: Two semesters Credit: 1.0
