In Texas, all science courses required 40% lab investigations. Within Integrated Physics and Chemistry, students spend this amount of time through investigations. Because we are a virtual campus, students complete their labs using Gizmos. You can find a list of Integrated Physics and Chemistry labs here: https://gz.explorelearning.com/index.cfm?method=cSearch.actDoSearch&NewSearch=1&uncompiledQuery=Physical+Science
I am including the course description below.
Integrated Physics and Chemistry Students explore the relationship between matter and energy by investigating force and motion, the structure of atoms, the structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, and the interactions of energy and matter. Students develop skills in measuring, solving problems, using laboratory apparatuses, following safety procedures, and adhering to experimental procedures. Students focus on inquiry-based learning, with hands-on laboratory investigations making up half of the learning experience. K12 lab kits contain all lab materials that cannot easily be found in the home. Course Length: Two semesters Credit: 1.0
I am also including the Texas standards to the course syllabus.
