Course description

This course satisfies the 3rd credit option for graduation and will focus on building upon the concepts and skills learned in Geometry and Algebra. This course extends and applies these concepts and prepares students for enrollment in a 4th credit math class. This course takes a modeling approach to Intermediate Algebra and is aligned to the College and Work Readiness (CWR) Standard. Major topics include: linear; quadratic; and exponential functions and discrete mathematics. Students will use analytical; numerical; graphical; and verbal approaches to model and solve problems.
