Course description

This course is designed as a transition to college level mathematics. Units in the 1st semester include lines; functions and systems; factoring; rational functions; radical functions; polynomial functions; and exponential functions. Through a partnership with Joliet Junior College students who earn a C or better during the 1st semester will be placed in a 100 level upon entering JJC. Units in the 2nd semester include circular trigonometry; sequences and series; probability; and conic sections. A scientific calculator is required for the course. The TI-36X Pro Scientific Calculator is recommended.
