Open to: 11, 12 Course ID#: 085471, 085472, 085479 Credit: Full Year Dual Credit: No Graduation: Mathematics Prerequisites: Algebra II Location: Emerald Ridge, Puyallup, Rogers Math in Society is designed to engage students with a variety of investigations and group projects centered on contemporary mathematics that allows the student to build quantitative strategies to solve real world problems. The thinking process goals of this course include problem solving, logical thinking, co-operative learning and literacy skills. Students will learn about and practice using various models with direct applications to career and life while reinforcing the skill set described in the College Readiness Standards.
