Course description

Upon successful completion of this course; students will understand themultiple facets of mathematics that they are likely to encounter in theirlives. Topics will include: collecting and organizing data; makinginferences based on data; applying algebraic models to extrapolatedata; and using probabilities to make predictions. All of these topics willbe studied through current social issues. Examples include genocide;population growth; predatory lending; racial profiling; and increasingcollege tuition.This class is a challenging 4th year math option. Please do not request this courseif you do not meet the requirements.
