In this course, students will discover how biotechnology has brought about a revolution in the biological sciences rapidly advancing fields in healthcare, forensics, genetic engineering, environment, food science, biofuel, and energy. You will gain an understanding of current and future uses of biotechnology as well as obtain hands-on laboratory skills that expose you to highly demanded workplace skills. Completion of this course will result in the awarding of an advanced biology lab credit towards high school graduation and state university admission.
