Course description

This full-year course meets five periods perweek and will provide hands-on experiencevia lab and field work. The topics addressedinclude the characteristics of the abioticmarine environment, the interdependenceof the abiotic factors (geological, physicaland chemical) to biological processes, andmarine diversity. Eligible students may electto obtain three college credits. Total costis approximately $250 for the Stony Brookcourse credit.
