Course description

Students will learn the benefits of successful financial management using the text and curriculum provided by Dave Ramsey; Foundations in Personal Finance; High School Edition. Through video, class discussion, and group projects, students will gain valuable knowledge about personal finance, saving, budgeting, debt, life after high school, consumer awareness, bargain shopping, investing and retirement, insurance, money and relationships, careers and taxes, and giving to the community. Upon completion of this course, students will have the tools in place to allow them to make sound long term financial decisions as they prepare to leave high school.
