Course description

When you walk, drive, use a cell phone, make music, or turn on lights, you're using physics, a foundational science that studies motion, forces, and energy. This course builds on students' learning of physical and life science in middle school and prepares students for further scientific study in the areas of chemistry and biology in high school. "Physics: A First Course," provides an introduction to physics through scientific inquiry. This course provides a foundation for future learning, including but not limited to AP Physics. All science courses provide students with opportunities to learn and develop 21st century thinking skills such as problem solving, communication, and collaboration. Credits: 1
