Course Description:
This is the second of four required classes in the Health Studies Program. This class includes guest speakers and field trips to health care facilities. The Principals of Biomedical Science course provides an introduction to biomedical science through hands-on projects and problems. Students investigate concepts of biology, physiology, medicine, and research processes as they explore health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, sickle-cell disease, hypercholesterolemia, and infectious diseases.
