Course description

This is the first credit of the Finance pathway. The class was formerly titled Business 101. It was renamed to align with the Dual Enrollment credit title at SCC. This is the course description used to entice students to begin the Finance pathway. : This course introduces and explores ethical issues and the justice system. It focuses on ethics and the law, the police, courts, and corrections. Expands on common defenses utilized which includes specific offenses and the essential elements of each offense. Students will practice interviewing witnesses and suspects and how to present evidence in a court. The process for the collection of forensic evidence will be explored. Critical thinking and problem solving will be essential to this course.
