Resource English 11 provides students with services as outlined in their Individual Educational Program (IEP). Students must meet the eligibility criteria to be placed in this class. Resource English 11 uses the eleventh-grade state standards. Resource English 11 moves at an adapted pace and puts more focus on the grade band anchor standards. This course emphasizes reading and writing for a full year. English 11 offers an integrated program of writing and literature; focusing on the study of American Literature and persuasive/argumentative writing. Students will also write a compare and contrast composition; research paper; narrative; and a literary analysis\ Students will also receive specially designed instruction and accommodations in their areas of need as outlined by their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
