Course title

MTH024

Pre-requisite

Algebra 2 or Algebra 2 Honors

Course description

Students will be able to: Describe a set of data by numerical and graphical methods. Use computer spreadsheets to analyze
and graph data. Use experimental or theoretical probability (as appropriate) to represent and solve problems involving
uncertainty. Understand the concept of a random variable. Describe the normal curve and use its properties to answer
questions about sets of data that are assumed to be normally distributed. Apply the concept of a random variable to
generate and interpret probability distributions including binomial; uniform; normal; and chi square. Use the “Central
Limit Theorem” in data analysis. Use basic statistical equations to sort data (z-scores; t-tests; ANOVA; f-test; etc.).
