Course description

In the first-year Yaqui course, students are introduced to basic instruction in the grammar and writing system of the Yaqui language. The intended outcome is to help the student acquire general Yaqui vocabulary and the skills for speaking, reading, and writing Yaqui. The course also includes an overview of Yaqui traditions, culture, and history as a background for the use of the language.
