At BASIS; Honors Chemistry investigates major topics such as stoichiometry; atomic and molecular structure; thermodynamics; and chemical equilibrium. Laboratory experiments compliment coursework often. Advanced mathematical problem solving skills will be developed throughout the course. At the end of the course; students will be competent in many areas of chemistry and be well prepared to take AP Chemistry the following year.
