Course description

Works on developing a photographic eye. Introduces students to fundamental concepts of photography and image making. Uses a wide range of photographic assignments using self made pinhole cameras as well as digital cameras. Involves a variety of magazine assignments which allows for the creation of abstract pieces; collages and images that explore the fundamentals of photography. Includes some darkroom experience; explores Adobe Photoshop where students learn how to bring images into the ?digital darkroom?. Requires a final portfolio of all the work created over the semester.
