Course description

Students will become proficient in the use of manual controls of a digital camera and what these controls do to a picture. Students will learn skills in composition and lighting. They will also become familiar with the software Photoshop as it applies to photo editing as well as Graphic Design. The students will be introduced to Black and White film and Photography and will get the opportunity to develop film and produce pictures the "old school" way; using chemicals in the dark room. In addition the students will learn about the techniques used in advertising; abstract; and portrait photography.
