This course will provide the motivated student with a greater understanding of the evolution of global processes and contacts in different types of human societies through the study of World History. Students will trace the development of cultural; political; social; intellectual; and economic history through several chronological periods including: Ancient Greece and Rome; the Middle Ages; the Renaissance; Industrial Revolution; World War I; World War II and the Cold War. These historical periods will highlight the nature of changes in global frameworks and their causes and consequences; as well as comparisons among major societies. NOTE: This course meets the graduation requirement for World History. NOTE: This is a weighted course.
