Course description

Technical Theatre I is designed to introduce students to the basic fundamentals of theater production. This hands-on program includes instruction in set design; set construction; scenic painting; lighting design; costume design and construction; audio engineering; rigging and production management;. Students will have a complete design projects using processional computer-aided design programs and will serve as a member of a production crews. Technical Theater I may require students to participate in theater production activities after school; evenings and weekends. Course can be taken to fulfill either one Fine Arts credit or one CTE credit but not both.
