This course is an introduction to the discipline of architecture including the history; theory; structures and functions; principles and practice of architecture. Basic principles of architectural analysis; criticism and aesthetic principles will be explored as well as focusing on the intersections of physical; cultural and social spaces. Students will acquire techniques of architectural representation through a series of drawing and model-making assignments of increasing complexity and scale.
