Course description

Unified Art is an inclusion program that combines individuals with intellectual disabilities (art students) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (partner art students) in a program designed to facilitate engagement in the creative process and the production of artwork. The instructor may choose to focus on 2D or 3D; and may include a variety of techniques and mediums; as appropriate. Art students and art partners create and produce artwork as a team; in a meaningful and integral capacity. Focus is on personal development: appropriate peer relationships; sense of efficacy and lifelong enjoyment of art.
