Course description

This honors course includes the same standard content as the English 1 course. Honors
students will be expected to complete additional reading and writing assignments and perform
more complex analysis of literature. Students will be judged by a higher standard with regard
to the complexity and accuracy of their writing than those in the standard English 1 course.

Credit: 1 credit; 2 semesters
Requirements: Additional homework will be required. Students must maintain at least a C
average to remain in any honors course.
