Course description

Students develop understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of psychology; psychological theories; research strategies; brain and nervous system function; the role of personality in behavior; psychological disorders and the range of available treatments. In addition; students understand current laws and ethics regarding research and the field of mental health. This is a college level course which subjects students to extensive research and reading outside of class.
