A continuation of Western Civilization this course covers primarily European life during the middle ages from the fall of Rome until the colonial period of the Puritans. Its scope includes such topics as; Church history; the rise of Islam; the rise of Byzantium; the barbarians; feudal estates; the makers of the medieval age; Norse invasions; the Crusades; the Renaissance; the Reformation; and the darkness of the Enlightenment.
