Computer Aided Design 1
This is an excellent preparatory course for those students pursuing careers in technical; design and engineering fields. 2-D and 3-D computer aided design and drafting (CADD) skills are taught. Visualization skills are developed as students construct and edit geometric forms; pictorial views; multi-view orthographic projections; and section views. Students also use 3-D CAD parametric modeling applications to construct solid models. Both mechanical and architectural problems are studied and practiced. Sketch-up will primarily be used as the drafting resource online. The use of project based learning techniques will be used along with mathematical and scientific reasoning problems.
